club of the year
Club runs are an integral part of our calendar. Runs usually depart Templemore Sports Complex, Buncrana Road, Derry on Saturday and Sunday at 09:00am.
We try to cater for all levels of ability. See CYCLE WITH US below for more details and Like Foyle Cycling for latest club run information.
We have a growing number of women cyclists and encourage them to be involved in all areas of the club.
Where appropriate we provide coaching and group rides for newer women cyclists.
We also organize an annual women’s only cyclo-sportive in aid of the Foyle Hospice.
The Inishowen 100 sportive ( i100 and i60 routes ) is the Club’s blue ribbon event run in August each year.
This event continues to increase in numbers, attracting cyclists wishing to tackle some of the toughest hills in the area. It’s not getting any easier!
“Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime. Teach a man to cycle and he will realize fishing is stupid and boring.”
– Desmond Tutu
