Foyle CC’s Sprocket Rocket cycling programme, aimed at 5-12 year olds, wheels into action on Saturday 3 March 2018 at the Foyle Arena at 1:45pm. The 10-week programme focuses on delivering basic cycling skills to younger people, in a safe environment, with an emphasis on fun and participation.
Coordinated locally by Foyle Cycling Club’s qualified leaders, the series helps children advance their pedaling, balance, braking and cornering techniques through the structured Cycling Ireland program.
This is a great opportunity for children to be introduced to cycling: ‘St Columb’s Park and its extensive greenway network is an ideal location for this event. Children have been coming regularly for several years and with the advent of spring, we hope that it encourages them to be active outdoors.’ The programme costs £15.00 per kid, with availability limited to 40 places.
If you would like your child to participate, contact: firstname.lastname@example.org for an application form. Programme fee is £15 for 10 weeks, with each session lasting 1.5hrs. As places are limited to 30 children, Foyle Cycling Club encourage parents to confirm attendance as soon as possible.
