FCC’s  vision is to be the premier cycling club in the north west with an emphasis on inclusivity, fun and a focus on all levels of participation in leisure, racing, sportive, and mountain biking events.

The next club tour, Trans Sperrins will leave the sports complex, Buncrana Road, at 0830 for the scenic, yet challenging Sperrin hills on May 19. Please plan to attend.

If you a have basic cycling fitness please join our Saturday runs at 0900 from the sport complex, Buncrana Road, l’Derry. You will be welcomed by the most friendly club in the NW of Ireland!  (Basic level of fitness means you are well capable of cycling 35 to 40 m)

Please remember that  your road bike must be in good mechanical order,  dress warmly ready for our weather, carry a water bottle, a banana, a spare tube with tyre levers and wear a helmet.

Sunday club runs leave the complex, Buncrana Road at 0900. They cover 100 km or so at this time of year. They are geared for the more experienced rider. If new it is best to start with a Saturday run and work in to a Sunday ride.

The second club race of the Campsie series takes place from the appointed spot at Campsie at 7 p.m. on May 15.

Club member Evelyn D is now offering yoga classes aimed at the cyclists on Monday mornings at 0645  and in the evening at 1830. Her studio is located at Foyle Springs Industrial estate.
