FCC’s  vision is to be the premier cycling club in the north west with an emphasis on inclusivity, fun and a focus on all levels of participation in leisure, racing, sportive, and mountain biking events.

The Foyle club always welcomes new members. Please email markmoroney@btinternet.com with your cycling interest and you will be put on our mailing list.

If you a have basic cycling fitness please join our Saturday runs at 0900 from the sport complex, Buncrana Road, L’Derry. You will be welcomed by the most friendly club in the NW of Ireland!  (Basic level of fitness means you are well capable of cycling 35 to 40 m)

Please remember that  your road bike must be in good mechanical order,  dress warmly ready for our weather, carry a water bottle, a banana, a spare tube with tyre levers and wear a helmet.

The next FCC tour, Gortin Lakes, leaves the sports complex at 0830 on Sunday April 05 , It features a ride thru Plumbridge, Barnes, Gortin lakes, Newtownstewart, Strabane.

Sunday club runs leave the complex, Buncrana Road at 0900. They cover 100 km or so at this time of year. They are geared for the more experienced rider. If new it is best to start with a Saturday run and work in to a Sunday ride.

Registration for the 2014 season is now well due, i.e. overdue. Please check with Cycling Ireland’s auto registration procedure by logging on their home page. If that proves difficult please email the site for more advice.

    Fantastic set up as always and the weather was kind also.

    Some majestic rugged scenery around Malin Head and Kinnego made the pain worthwhile.That and the abuse from hecklers on the roadside and in cars passing by.You know who you are Donnelly

    Really glad I was able to participate.

    Missed Fergal McGeady grinning as he directed everyone down in Kinnego this year.That was always his favourite spot.
